KDE Ltd is delighted to appoint a new SHEQ Manager to the team in Cheshire, Shannon Jolly.

KDE Ltd is delighted to appoint a new SHEQ Manager to the team in Cheshire, Shannon Jolly. Shannon will be responsible for the Health and Safety of our workforce and will oversee our very high standards of work, promoting best practices.

After a plan back in April 2017 to boost staff numbers, the Directors have been working hard to ensure we have a well-structured team both in the office and out on the ground.

We caught up with Shannon to see how she’s getting on since she started with us at the beginning of February.

When you were at School what was your dream job?

I never had a dream job as such, but I did think I would make a good teacher.  Funnily enough, I have a teaching and education qualification now so that I can deliver Health and Safety training – that counts as a teacher right?!

What are you most enjoying about your role?

The whole KDE team have been so warm and welcoming, they’ve really helped me feel settled only a few weeks in.

What aspect of your job excites you the most?

The great thing about my job is I can spend time in the office working on systems and procedures, but also get out on site and see how jobs are done.  I like seeing the progress on a project, I’ll always learn something new talking to the engineers, which in turn helps me when I write the risk assessments for our clients.

Has anything taken you by surprise since you joined the team?

The vast amount of clients and customers we work with!  Councils, Police forces, Schools and highly explosive atmospheres to name a few.  I’m really excited to see the company grow, and hopefully, help – one risk assessment at a time!

We’d like to wish Shannon the best of luck with her new role!
