Carbon Monoxide Alarms Installed From £25.00 +VAT Per Device*

From 1st October 2022, carbon monoxide alarms will be compulsory in private rented properties in England.

A carbon monoxide alarm will be required in all rooms where there is a fixed combustion appliance, such as gas boilers and gas fires. However, gas cookers are excluded from the updated regulation. Any additional appliances installed in the rental property will require a new carbon monoxide alarm to be fitted.

Landlords will be responsible for the cost of installing and maintaining these alarms. However, the responsibility to regularly test alarms will continue to lie with the tenant.

If a tenant advises you of a fault or damage with their alarm, you will be obliged to repair or replace it.

Promotional price from £25.00 + VAT per detector until further notice, normally £29.50 + VAT depending on the number of properties, or when fitted in conjunction with additional work.

The standalone installation cost for one detector is £49.50 + VAT, until further notice, normally £59.50 + VAT.
